Wells Mills Park

We took a ride to Wells Mills Park today.  I call it the forgotten park.  It's a very beautiful park with great trails.  Warning signs for ticks greeted us and I regretted not having any spray with me and wouldn't you know, when we got home, Peter had a tick on him. Of course we both stripped and checked for more ticks and the clothes went in the wash.

Luke's 11th Birthday

Today we celebrated Luke's 11th birthday.  The whole family was there and everyone enjoyed the time we spent together.  Good seeing Dennis smiling.
Luke got a computer from his parents and he can't wait to set it all up.

I'm psyched!

Life is good....Dennis is sitting in a wheel chair.  So good to see him sitting up and smiling.  He is so strong willed.  We are so proud!
As you all know, we lost out truck im December of 2016.  At that point we decided to give up camping and bought a car instead of a new truck.  We put the 5th wheel up for sale and that didn't work.  Now, 5 months later, we decided to become seasonal campers again.  We will be at Timberline Lake Campground in New Gretna.  We are looking forward to being there and can't wait.  Dennis found someone that will pull our 5th wheel there on June 2nd.  Can't wait!

Mother's Day

We went to the Elks for brunch.  It was excellent!  After that, the whole family went to see Dennis.  He is doing great.  His willpower and spirits are awesome and that, combined with the love of his family, he'll be home in no time.

Being grateful

Is there such a thing as the worst day of your life?  I guess you won't know until the end.....
I had about three so far...at least that what one thinks at the time it happens.  My parent's passing, and on May 1st 2017 the motor cycle accident that Dennis had.  Here is what happened:
Dennis was on his motor cycle driving straight on Rt. 166 and and a woman made a left turn and t-boned him.
He has spine injuries and lost his left foot up to the knee, a few broken ribs and a fractured sacrum.
I am grateful that he is alive and on the road to recovery and hopefully soon, he'll be able to come home to his wife and children.
Today is Mother's Day and I am spending the day with the family at the rehab center.  I am not sad anymore....I am happy that I have two loving children.
