Knoebels had a craft show this week. I was a little disappointed, there weren’t a lot of crafters. We walked around and listened to a concert by the The Avalons. Back at the camper we had left-overs for dinner and now it is R&R time.

We had a very nice dinner today at BJ’s in Selinsgrove. Thanks to Blaise Alexander, the car dealer who sold us the truck. Nice perk! From appetizer to dessert. After dinner we strolled around downtown, which had a display of pianos standing around.
Tuesday was our 48th wedding anniversary. So what did we do? Well, we went out and bought a new to us truck. It is a Ford F250 and it is HUGE! I can’t wait to drive it. I want to wait an make sure my arm is totally healed first.
HIT THE BACK BUTTON TO COME BACK HOME FROM VIEWING A PICTURE!
Oh…before I forget….I finally got a decent shot of one of the frogs that reside here and on the way back from taking that picture, I caught a humming bird collecting material for it’s nest.

No humidity – around 80 degrees – perfect day for a ride. We went to Ricketts Glen State Park. It was awesome. We couldn’t see all the falls, because you really had to hike to them. The one we saw though was cool and it was pretty easy to view. On the way home we stopped at the twin bridges. We once saw them on our covered bridge trip in May, but because of all the people on the bus, there was not a good chance to take good pictures.

About 9-10 years ago I met a nice lady (Pamela Nagel) on-line in one of the camping groups that I used to be belong to. Facebook came and we stayed in touch on an almost regular basis. Pam and Tom became full-time campers about three years ago. Originally from NY state, they are traveling the whole country in their 40’ RV.
This week they are on their way to NY and stopped at JD’s so that after all those years, we can meet.
Pam and Tom arrived Thursday stayed two nights. Thursday afternoon we visited Knoebels, walked around a little and then back to the camper for hamburgers and pulled pork sandwiches. Friday we went sightseeing. A quick stop on Packer Island to say hello to our friends at Fantasy Island, then to the Shikellamy Overlook. The two overlooks on Shikellamy Overlook are 360 feet above the river confluence. They offer spectacular views of Sunbury, Northumberland and the surrounding areas. From there we went to Shamokin Dam to see the inflatable dam. Every time we go there, I am amazed.
The Adam T. Bower Memorial Dam (formerly known as the Sunbury Fabridam) is the world's longest inflatable dam. The dam is located just below the confluence of the Western and Main Branches of the Susquehanna, in Upper Augusta Township, between the town of Shamokin Dam and the city of Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
The dam is 2,100 feet (640 m) long. When it is raised in the summer time, it creates the 3,000 acre (12 km²) Lake Augusta, which is used for recreation. The dam and lake are part of Shikellamy State Park.
Before we went home, we visited the Basilica of Saints Cyril and Methodius (Danville, Pennsylvania).
The building is gorgeous and so is the basilica inside.

It was awesome! We had Elisabeth swim for Toms River and Anna and Ava swam for Berkeley Township. It was a great swim meet, but unfortunately we were only able to stay for 30 round though, because the bleachers are killers.
Tomorrow we are off to PA again. I hope that the weather is good over there for the next three weeks. As far as I know, it hasn’t been that good. Lots of rain and storms.

Danielle’s sons Jimmy and Steve graduated from high school and boy did they celebrate! What fine young men they are! Jimmy is going away soon because he joined the Navy and Steve is going to study at OCC. Good Luck to both!

Great time over Tammy and Dan’s. Melissa, Dan’s niece and her husband came over with their new baby. Logan is a real cutie!
We left and the rest went to see the fireworks. We always worry about Kia being left alone too long. It’s OK though.

It’s been a while, but as most of you know, I have a fractured elbow and I was (and still am) in a lot of pain. I still say there is something wrong with my forearm, but the Dr. knows better, I guess. My next appointment is on July 13th. The day before we return to PA. Hopefully by then it is much better.
I looked at my x-ray and the one bone just doesn’t look right to me, but who am I to argue with a professional.
Anyway, Tammy called to invite us to the girls 1st swim meet. We both dislike sitting on those bleachers for two hours, but we love watching the grandkids and it’s worth it.
