We went to Danville to buy tickets for the Covered Bridge tour on May 16th. It should be a lot of fun. On the way to Danville, we stopped and looked at some trout fishermen. They just stocked the creek this morning and there were are lot of catches.

Every time we are in the area, we stop at the Surplus Outlet and then Point Barn, a huge antique store. Believe me when I tell you….it is big. For all the stuff they have inside, it sure looks well kept, clean and not cluttered. It is always pretty interesting.

The actual ceremony was in the Priestley Chapel two blocks down the road from the reception area which was held . It was a very beautiful ceremony. Bitter-sweet for our friend Candy and her sister Jen and brother Scott, who just lost their mom unexpectedly a couple of weeks prior. I know she was there in spirit.
Right after the ceremony we walked back to the wedding reception at the Priestley-Savidge House. The grounds are a very beautiful, park-like setting.
Cocktail hour was outside. It was a little chilly, but there were outside gas heaters and fire places to warm up. Most people had a coat and the sun helped a little. The servers came around with all kind of goodies, like tiny quiches, stuffed mushrooms, little sausages, etc. The bar was set up outside as well.
The inside of the huge tent was heated and very pretty decorated. Three ice sculptures, one of them served as a drink fountain.
The food was very good and everyone had a good time.

What a gorgeous day it was! We first went to see Ava’s soccer play and then we went to Veteran’s park to see what the Strike Out Autism event was all about and then, on the way home, a short stop at Double Trouble State Park. The day ended with having cocktails outside with the neighbors.

Yup….it was that time again. I can’t believe that my mom is dead for 13 years already. We did celebrate her birthday like every year in Atlantic City. It was the second time that we went to Carmine’s Restaurant. The food is truly excellent and very expensive. It was mopped no sign of a bad economy.
I dropped $20 into a few machine’s and won zero $. That’s OK though, we had a nice time.

I haven’t written in a while. We are busy (well more or less Peter is) with renovating the bathroom. Pictures and horror story about the bathroom will follow when the bathroom is 100% done. That will be after Easter.
Today we had Ava here. She had a stomach virus. Poor baby….cramps and all the other ‘stuff’.
Thank God at night she felt somewhat better and was able to attend her school performance at the library. She was so upset during the day when she was sick.
