Polar Bear Plunge

Today was the 22nd annual polar bear plunge.  6,000 people went into the water and there were 20,000 spectators.  The water was ice cold!  They raised $1,392,089.  It was an awesome event.

Rudi and Katrin

We had a great time again with those two.  Rudi and Katrin are friends from Germany who love to travel the US.  They come here twice, sometimes three times a year and this is the third time they came to see us.  We went to Princeton to see the University and visited the Art Museum there.  It was very amazing and …..FREE!  I would defiantly visit the university again. You have to park in the visitor lot and then you may take the bus (free) and tour the property.  Before we went home, we ate dinner at PF Chang.  It was yummy, as always.

The next day we went to Atlantic City.  It was soooo bitter cold, so there wasn’t much boardwalk walking….just a little.  We spent most of the time in the Tropicana.  We walked around and I played the penny machine for a few minutes and lost ten bucks.  On the way home, we stopped at Caffrey’s for a steak dinner.  Can’t go wrong in that place.  It’s always good there.

Anna’s 15th Birthday

We all went to PF Chang at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and it was great!  The food was as good as always, and we all had a nice time.  This is the third or fourth time at a PF Chang and the food was good each time.

Blue & Gold Dinner

The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. Packs often like to invite former members and other Scouting or community leaders to take part in their blue and gold banquet.  In this case grandparents were invited as well.
We had a wonderful time.  The dinner was catered by “Heavenly Eats Caterers” and it was very good.  Luke got a few new badges and a trophy for coming into third place at the Pinewood Derby race.  He also got a medal for participating.
Because Elisabeth participated in in the race, she got a medal too.
