Super Snow Storm 2015

Much ado about nothing!  The press, TV, and all meteorologists were so wrong.  People ran out for their mandatory bread and milk purchases (I don’t get that) and shelves were empty.
So what really happened?  It was your normal winter storm with a snow fall of about 10”.  Whoopee Doo!
To be honest, I am glad that this was all.  I love a good snow fall in the winter but when they put a ban on all travel and predict anything up to 3’, that is a little too much.

Pinewood Derby

Today was Luke’s annual Pinewood Derby with the Boy’s Scouts.  Yay, Luke came in 3rd place!  They also had a sibling’s race. All the scouts that have siblings were invited to bring in their own home-made cars.  Elisabeth was in third place too.

Our Luke

We had Luke over night and spent the day with him.  I was looking forward to try my new waffle iron out on him and what did he wish for breakfast…..pancakes.  Oh well….then we went to the cinema and saw Paddington.  What a great movie it is!  Funny movie for young and old.  Lots of laugh.  We then went for lunch to the Fortune Buffet.

Ava’s indoor soccer game

It wasn’t a bad game.  Ava’s team lost 4:8.  To be fair though, the other team was real good and they played fair as well.

Another yummy evening over Judy’s

We had a very nice evening with much too much delicious food (as always) over Judy’s house.  As always, good conversation with great neighbors!  We sure are very lucky to have neighbors like that.  Not too many people can say that.

Central won against Barnegat!

The swim meet went well yesterday.  Anna did real good and you can tell that she gets better every time we go.  We don’t go every week, but once in a while we truly enjoy the meet….not the bleachers!

We had an unexpected visitor.  Ava came over and she spent the day with us.  It was fun watching her play with her doll.  Love her so much!

New year's dinner

Pat and Ray invited us over for a delicious baked ziti dinner.  It was yummy and it was topped off with home-made cream puff by Judy.  Awesome evening.  Great to have awesome neighbors.
