All new

It was an exciting day today.  Our new appliances were delivered and now the kitchen looks brand-new once again.  Our old appliances were old and started to makes noises and needed some repairs (knobs, seals, etc.)  Instead of having it all repaired we decided to buy new ones and I am so happy that we did.

We got it!

This weekend we went to have our new camper delivered to the the campground.  As I wrote before, this is just a temporary campground and in April we are moving to J & D Campground.  We are thrilled to be able to get a spot there and can not wait for the season to begin.  If you click on the picture below, you’ll see pictures of the camper and the campground we are at right now and the new one.  Some pictures have a description next to them.

The camper still at the dealer, waiting for us.

Feeling excited!

Cross your fingers!  We traded in our RV for a travel trailer.  We are not ready to camp, but the traveling will stop now.  We are looking for a nice and reasonable site in PA.  We’d love to get one closer by, but they are very expensive here in NJ.  It really is too bad.We are driving to PA tomorrow and Friday is when the dealer brings the trailer to the campground.  That will be a temporary spot and we’ll be looking for another one while we are there over the weekend.  Below are some picture.  It is not our camper, but it is the same model.  I will take pictures as soon as we have OUR camper in possession.

A sparkly day

Elisabeth and Ava got a gift certificate from us to have a day at the spa.  The girls had an awesome time and came out totally sparkling and pretty.  New hairdo and all…..followed with a delicious lunch at Ichiban.

Gotta love Costco!

We went to return the laptop today and with a smile and no questions ask, they returned my money.  Of course I told them why I am returning it and they said that I was the second person that returned the laptop for exactly that reason.
We then went to PC Richards, Staples and BJ's.  No-one had what I wanted.  So I went on-line to Costco's website and there was the computer that I just returned for about $90 less.  I noticed that the newer models, especially the 15" ones do not have a DVD/CD drive anymore.  So I went ahead and ordered it from Costco with the thought that in the rare occasion when I need a DVD/CD drive, I will just connect my portable external drive and that will work for me.
I guess that will be the future.  Most program that you buy these day are on-line anyway and you have to download them.  When I bought Office 2013, all I got was a serial number and the rest came from on-line. I guess I'll get used to it.  After all, it took me a while to get used not using a floppy disk anymore....this shall pass too.
When I looked outside this evening I notice the most gorgeous sunset.  Picture time!

Just a little update

Actually, there is really nothing much to be updated, but I just wanted to write something quick so people don't think I vanished for the face of this earth.
We ran a few errands and had lunch at "The Spot".  Love that place.  They make a good hamburgers.  Peter had the Reuben, that usually is his favorite.  I love the "Lunchbox Burger". They took it off the menu, but if you ask for it, they'll make it for you. Yummy!
I saved for months now to get a new laptop, so after lunch we went to Costco and there it was.....the one that I REALLY liked. Got it home and wanted to start installing my programs and realized that there is no DVD/CD drive.  Yikes!  Obviously, I was somewhat disappointed and we will go back to return it.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

As you all know, every year we are the dedicated official baby-sitter while the (adult) kids have their fun at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  You’d think that they are going there to watch the parade…..yeah, right!!!  Anyway…here are the pictures, enjoy!

Oma reads

I had the pleasure today to visit Ava's class room.  Monday was 'Read Across America Day' and because of the snow storm it was postponed to today.  They asked the parents to come in and read a book to the children.  Tammy now works full time and I had the honor to read to the class instead.  It was fun and I enjoyed the kids.  I think and hope that they had a good time too.  Ava picked the books that I read.  I am glad she did, because all I have is my Kindle and I don't think that would went very well, since they loved it, when during the reading, I showed the illustrations of the book.  We ended my assigned 20 Minutes with pre-packed pudding snacks.
