We arrived at at Oscar Scherer State Park around 2:30 PM. This is the first time we visited this park and so far we like it. Our campsite is very nice and private. The showers are decent and it looks like there are some activities too.
December 29, 2013
We left NJ on the 27th and stopped in Emporia VA the first night. It was bitter cold and we stayed at a campground with trains running nearby practically the whole night. We left real early in the morning and should have been in Darien GA around 3 pm. The traffic was real bad and we finally got there at 5 pm. Got settled and walked over to Dairy Queen. Great burger!! Today we just relaxed here in Darien and enjoyed the sunshine and the 70+ temps. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!
December 24, 2013
Christmas Eve over Tammy and Dan's was very nice and I know everyone had a good time. As always, Tammy goes above and beyond to please the whole family and she sure did.
December 21, 2013
We had a great time at the Elks 2013 children's Christmas party. Set-up and gift wrapping was the night before. I helped wrapping and Peter and Mike set up the tables and chairs. The party itself was a success and the kids has an awesome time.
December 15 & 16, 2013
We had a great time with Rudi and Katrin from Cologne Germany. Sunday we went to Seaside (still sad to look at) and that off the Island Beach State Park. Boy was it cold! However, we had a great time looking at the awesome surf and saying 'hello' to Mr. Fox.
We took home the long route over Bay Head to end up in the Olive Garden for a yummy dinner.
Monday we left after a long breakfast to Jakes Branch County Park because Rudi wanted to see the Hindenburg hangar. So we went up on the outlook where you can see it from a distance. We then headed for Lakehurst to see it close-up and also stopped at Double Trouble S.P. on the way there.
Everyone was starving and the best place to eat an awesome burger is 'The Spot'......off we went.
December 14, 2013
I can't believe our little Elisabeth is already 6 years old! She and her little birthday guests had a great time at 'Twisters", followed by pizza and cake. At home the partying continued with family and friends.
November 30, 2013
Had a great time over Danielle's last night. We met a few people that we didn't know yet and saw friends that we haven't seen in a while. As always, food was delicious. Thanks Danni for being such a gracious host!
November 28, 2013
Thanksgiving.....lots of things to be thankful for, especially for my family, friends and neighbors. We had a great time with excellent food and company.
November 23, 2013
It took us 40 years to get to Batsto Village. I heard about it often enough, said probably hundred times that we should go there and we finally made it. It's located about an hour drive from our house. It is a great place to visit. I can't wait to go back soon, or maybe in the summer. The next time we will take a tour of the mansion.
November 21, 2013
Had an interesting day today. Went to get a hair cut at 8 am - love my hair stylist! Then off to breakfast. We decided to finally try this place in Toms River called "Shut up and Eat". If you go there in your PJs (they have to have matching top and bottom) you get 13% off your bill. Sounds like a good deal. We didn't wear or PJs, but we had a good time and the food was good and the price was decent. The decor is unique. Nothing matches....from the silverware and dishes to chairs and tables. The place is filled with memorabilia and 'stuff'. Go and check it out!
We bought a new car the other day and love it!
So today we finally decided to take it out for a ride. Not that we didn't use it before, but it was shopping and appointments. The weather was a little cool, but it was still very nice. We went to Allaire State Park. There is not much going on because the summer season is over, yet it still is a nice park to visit.
November 15, 2013
We had a little pre-birthday party for Peter at the Elks. Dinner was as always very good, even though this Friday they only served sandwiches. Peter had the Reuben and it was real good. The cake from BJ's was nothing to write home about. I was really very disappointed. Other than that, we had a nice time.
November 6 - 13, 2013
Once in a while Tammy asks me to substitute in the Bunco games that she does once a month. I did this month. It's a fun game and if you are lucky, you can even win a price. I didn't win anything this year, but I did win on other occasions.
We had a gorgeous sunset the other day. The sky was unbelievable! Bright red! I've never seen anything like it. Just beautiful.
We missed sitting in our sun room. Especially in Fall and Spring. This months we finally got to clean it up a little, bought a little dining set and now we can enjoy sitting there once again.
While sitting here in the back of the house we are enjoying our backyard zoo and then some.....
November 1, 2013
On October 19th my baby boy turned 40 years old. Yesterday Chrissy invited family and close friends to celebrate the occasion and as you can see in the pictures, it was a great little party.
October 31, 2013
Well, first let me tell you about yesterday....we had to go for Peter's check-up and it looks good. Still waiting for the lab report, but when the Dr. looked inside, it looked good.
Halloween was great!
9:35 AM we went to see Luke and Elisabeth at the Walnut School for their Halloween parade. Back home and then we left 1 PM to see Ava at her school in her parade. Then to Tammy's house. Had Chilli, cup cakes and all kinds of goodies. Around 7 PM we finally went home exhausted.
October 17, 2013
Wow....I am always amazed when I am in New York City. Had an awesome day today. Walked 42 blocks. From the Memorial to the High Line and then to Port Authority. Had a delicious Weizenbier at the Beer Authority to end a great day. On the negative side.....my feet are totally out of order for now.
October 5, 2013
What a fun day at Battleview Orchard! The weather was gorgeous and the kids had fun picking apples and searching for the perfect pumpkin.
After the orchards we went to Manchester to watch at least one game of Anna's soccer tournament. Her team did not win, but they played great.
September 29, 2013
When we lived in our first house in Barnegat, NJ from 1974 to 1980 we made friends with quite a few wonderful people. One of them JoAnn Fedorczyk, whose 60th birthday we celebrated today. Her daughter Laura and sister organized a get-to-gether with other neighbors that used to, or still live there. We met at Lefty's (former Carriage House) and had a great lunch. It was great to see everyone and a lot of memories were exchanged.
September 28, 2013
It was the perfect day for the "Run for the Fallen". Peter and I were honored to be able to participate.
September 27, 2013
I have been over Dennis and Chrissy's house since Sunday afternoon. I love the little ones and we had a good time together. However, I now understand that Mother Nature saw to it that people over a certain age can't have kids anymore. I am totally exhausted!! Calgon....take me away!!!
Between the dogs, the contractors that were re-building the kitchen (see pics), the kids (not that they were bad, just a little too active for these old bones), Kia getting sick because she misses her mommy. She was vomiting and I felt bad. Anyhow, I am glad to be back home. I guess that is what grandparenthood is all about. You love'm, you hug'm, you go home and and when you see them again, you hug'm again....LOL
September 20, 2013
We had a great lobster tail and steak dinner at the Elks. Boy was it yummy! Good times too with out friends from the Elks.
September 15, 2014
Living room and my room done!! I am so happy! Peter did a great job.....check it out here:
September 10, 2013
I found this odd looking mushroom in our yard today. For more information on it click on the picture.

Our backyard zoo
September 7, 2013
Had a great day at Veteran's Park for Pride Day in Berkeley Township. I was there from 9:30 am 'till 2:30 pm to help the Elks making fried Oreos. 5 for a buck, not a bad deal and the profits go 100% to charity. It was actually fun, but when I left I was totally exhausted. I'd do it again though.
September 5, 2013
Break time from the floor and a trip to Grounds for Sculptures was on the agenda. It was beautiful and we will go there again one day in the near future, that is for sure.
September 4, 2013 I added pictures of the progress to the link below....it's getting there. The living room will be done this weekend.
We will be going to the Grounds for Sculpture tomorrow. Can't wait to show you all the pictures of that event.
September 1, 2013
It's happening! We are getting a Pergo floor and I can not wait until it's done. It will take a while, because it is a lot of work between removing the old carpet and moving the furniture. I feel like I am moving.
August 31, 2013
Happy Labor Day! I can't believe that this is the end of the summer already. Thanks to Pat and Ray we had a great Labor Day celebration in their back yard. Food was excellent. We went home VERY stuffed!
August 21, 2013
So glad we joined the Elks. Great group of people helping the needy and honoring our Vets. Yesterday was the last day of the Berkeley Township concert series featuring the Duprees. During the even, the Bayville Elks presented the local food banks each a grocery gift certificate of $500. To get more money for charity, the Elks also sold Fried Oreos.
August 19, 2013
We took Anna and Ava to the Zoo today and for dinner we ended up at the Golden Corral (love that place)
August 15, 2013
The weather could not have been any better for a photo shoot. Ron and I went to Wells Mills County Park in Waretown. We got a few wonderful shots there. Then we went to a little park in Lacey called Enos Pond County Park. It was a nice, but very small park. On the way home we stopped at the Pine Beach water front.
August 11, 2013
Tammy turned 45 years old today......I can't believe how fast the time went. We had the greatest time! We all went out (on two boats) to a little island in the bay near Barney and Island Beach S.P. Everyone had an awesome time and it was the best birthday party idea. Tammy and Family were on Kelly's and her husband's boat, as well as Barbara and Steve too. Peter and I were on Dennis' and Chrissy's boat with Luke, Elisabeth and the two dogs. We got home about 9 pm.
August 10, 2013
Had fun with Luke and Elisabeth today. Chrissy and Dennis gave Tammy for her birthday a concert ticket to see Kelly Clarkson and we babysat the kids. Went to the playground at Jake's Branch and while there, we even saw a wedding. Burger King next and then we got two movies from the Red Box. At home we made root beer floats and pop corn....both go well with watching movies, I think. :-)
August 3, 2013
We had a little neighbor get-to-gether. We do that occasionally and always have a good time, never mind the excellent food. Because the day started out to be a rainy we wanted to be in the safe side. We put up our canopy in front of the garage. Granted, not the fanciest place to have a party, but for sure the driest. As always.....too much food!!
July 31, 2013
Our Anna's new hair
July 30, 2013
What a great day to take a trip to Atlantic City. I had such a great time taking pictures while my friend Judy gambled at the Revel. The Revel is an awesome building. I strolled around a little. The pool area is great, indoor as well as the outdoor pool.
Then off to the boardwalk. I walked all the way to Caesars and from there I browsed a little in the mall across the boardwalk. The fountain just started to play the water games as I arrived. It was very pretty. A quick stop at steel pier and the 5 hours were over. It was a great day ending with a drink and a quick bite at Water Street Pub.
July 27, 2013
As most f you know, we recently became Members of the Elks. We are very happy about it. Today was their second annual picnic to honor all vets and it was a huge success. Great way to honor our veterans.
July 22, 2013
We've been sitting inside for days now. It was hot and humid the whole week and today it was a little better. So we took a ride to Smithville. We haven't been there in a few years and I guess it was time again. We walked around, browsed on some of the stores and just enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine.
On the way home we did a little reminiscing, driving by a house in Waretown, NJ that has a fountain that Peter built approximately 15 years ago. The fountain was a special order and we were pleased to see that it still is in use.
Next stop was in Lanoka Harbor. Boy, I do miss our old house!!! We wanted to pass by to just take a 'look-see' and who just wanted to walk into his truck....FJ, who purchase the home 13 years ago. We are so happy that he is the one that bought our house. He told us he loves it there and I guess he never regretted buying it. You can tell, because he did a lot to the house and it looks gorgeous.
July 20, 2013
Once in a while, Tammy asks me to substitute for one of the players that can't make it when the groups of 12 friends have their Bunco night. It's a fun evening playing dice and if one is lucky, that person may even win a price. There always are plenty of snacks and drinks.
July 17, 2013
Wow, what nice day today at the boardwalk. Hot, hot, hot!!!!!!
July 16. 2013
Today we went to the Toms River Country Club for Anna and Ava's swim meet. I was a little hesitant at first to even go there due to the extreme heat, but it was fine. Not that is was cool, but it was bearable.
July 14, 2013
I had a little fun converting a selection of my pictures into black and white ones. Nothing really happened, therefore that is nothing to write about.
July 6, 2013
I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July! We sure did. As always, we spent it over Tammy's with family and good friends. The food (as always) was delicious. The Kids had a great time in the pool and the weather couldn't have been better.
June 30, 2013
We are back home. Had a great week with Tammy and family. Knoebel's is a great amusement park. The campground was very nice too, except I really did miss having WiFi.
ARRRGGHH! I hate having Internet that is slow as molasses! My data card is normally pretty good, but in this area it truly sucked.
This campground has NO WiFi and NO cable. I can live without cable, but no Internet is downright wrong!
One day I spent most of the day at the Knoebel's pool. It was actually very enjoyable. Later in the day we had severe thunder storms with heavy rains. We stayed in the camper and watched a movie and also read a little.
Peter and I went shopping to Bloomsburg another day and then we stayed at the campground, while Tammy and Dan had a cousin (Keith) from Pa visiting.
Besides being annoyed about the Internet, we had a great time with the kids and grandkids. We got here Saturday, June 22nd. Sunday was just R&R at the campground and Monday we went to Crystal Cave in Kutztown. We were there about 35 or so years ago. It was cool and after that we drove to Centralia, to bad though that it was pouring as we got there. The story about the tow just fascinates me.
June 21, 2013
We visited Deb and Pud today. Paul and Judy are in PA as well, so we all had a nice get-to-gether. Deb made her delicious roast beef sandwiches and proudly showed us her new kitchen......and what a kitchen it is!!! Gorgeous!!
Today is our last day here at Penn Avon for now. We may be back this ear if time allows...we'll see. For now, we are off to Lake Glory tomorrow for a fun week with Tammy and family.
June 15, 2013
New York has many beautiful state parks. The nice part is, that when you camp in one, like we do right now, you never have to pay to get into any other park. Even that parking that normally costs $10 at the Niagara Falls is free for us. Today we visited Golden Hill State Park - free! We drove there to see the 30 Mile Point Lighthouse. It was very nice. We went inside and upstairs. It was very interesting. We saw the keeper's quarters and went up the spiral stair case. The second floor was rented out, which is really cool.
On the way back to the camper we stopped at Olcott Beach. Olcott is a quaint little town and it has a small amusement park where the rides are only a quarter.....yup...25 cents! The park is run by volunteers. It's called Olcott Beach Carousel Park.
June 14, 2013
Today is Flag Day. Some 38 years ago today, our Tammy won a contest when we still lived in Barnegat. She was in first grade and drew the nicest American Flag. Tammy then was honored at the Flag Day celebration at the Barnegat Municipal's Flag Day celebration. Back then Barnegat Township was called Union Township. Most people don't remember that, I guess.
Two days ago we went to the Canadian side of the waterfalls and today we saw, for the first time, the American side. I was always told and I did think, that the Canadian side is the better one to visit. My opinion is, that everyone has to see both sides. Each side is impressive.
June 12, 2013
Today we went to Canada. We saw the Niagara Falls approximately 20 years ago and wanted to see them one more time. It was as impressive as we remembered....just gorgeous! We also went to see the botanical garden and the floral clock as well.
It is supposed to rain tomorrow...so unless a miracle happens, don't expect any pictures tomorrow. We'll go to the American side of the falls on Friday, weather permitting.
June 11, 2013
We arrived in Youngstown, NY this afternoon. The Campground is called 'Four Mile Creek State Park' and it is right on Lake Ontario. So pretty and you can even see Toronto's skyline.
June 10, 2013
We visited Judy and Mike today in Elmira. It was the first time we were over their house and we had a great time. Peter and Mike had nice conversations. Before Dinner Judy and I walked to the "Woodlawn Cemetery" where Mark Twain is buried. It was a huge place and actually very beautiful. I loved the Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer books, that made the visit to the cemetery even more interesting.
The dinner Judy cooked was awesome (got to take home leftovers) and we were back at the camper around 10 pm.
June 9, 2013
We left on Saturday and stayed one night at Penn Avon in Selinsgrove, PA. It was just a quick overnight stop so that we didn't have to drive so many miles in one day. Today we also took our time driving from Selinsgrove to Elmira, NY. It was a very pretty drive. The area is gorgeous. We are staying now for two nights at the NEWTOWN BATTLEFIELD STATE PARK. They campsites are odd, but not bad. From what we have seen, they only have two sites with power and we have one of them.
May 24, 2013
It was Luke's 7th Birthday today and we had a great time with a delicious at the Red Lobster. Luke had the best time of all with a lobster tail and shrimp on a sewer dinner. The dessert was yummy too, as you can tell by the pictures.
May 21, 2013
Had another photo-shoot today. We went to Smithville Park. It was beautiful and some day I would like to go back there. This is Burlington County.....I am wondering why we don't have a gorgeous park like this in Ocean county.
May 12, 2013
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! We were invited by Tammy and Dan to have Mother's Day brunch at the Elks in Bayville. It was very nice and the food was great. Of course I had a Bloody Mary and a beer....never too early for that on Mother's Day. Thanks Tammy and Dan for inviting us there and for the Pandora bead. :-)
Dennis, Chrissy and kids came over late afternoon I got the cutest home-made cards from Luke and Elisabeth and a Kohl's gift certificate. Thanks everyone!!
May 3, 2013
Last night we decided to return home. It is cold and miserable and what is the sense of going camping when you can't sit outside? It is a shame, but heck, there are warmer months on the way and we can always go on the road then.
May 2, 2013
We had a wonderful afternoon with a delicious dinner with Jean and Paul from NJ. Six months ago they made the big move to Georgia. Their home is gorgeous! Anyway, we had a great time. Their little dog Bella, a poodle/Shi Tzu mix was too cute and I regretted not bringing Kia.
May 1, 2013
Amazed by the mating of the carp 10' away from our campsite. To read more about carp, please read this: http://www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries/fishfacts/commoncarp.asp
April 30, 2013
It was a pretty day so we decided to take a ride. We actually want to see Buford Dam at Lake Lanier, but you can't really go near it, so we went on and rode through the beautiful park. We then went to Shawnee. It had a pretty City Center that practically invited us to get out of the car to look around.
I almost forget to mention the carp right by our campsite. If you look at the pictures, you'll find them jumping on the shore line right by our campsite. It is pretty amazing.
April 29, 2013
Do I wish that the Wal-Mart in our hometown would just either close the doors or straighten up their act. Empty shelves, unfriendly personal, and never anything available that you need. Throughout all out travels we've been to many Wal-Mart's in almost every state state that we visited and we were in 48 states. Today again we visited the local Wal-Mart here in Cumming GA. What a difference!!! The shelves were well stocked, the groceries looked fresh and the employees went out of their way to please you. It almost makes me want to move here just for that. :-)
We really had a nice day today....after all that rain, it felt so good to have some rays shining through. At least we were able to sit outside until about 6 pm when it started to get a little cool. I was hoping for a pretty sunset. There was a sunset, but it was not what I expected.
Anyway, while we were on the pictures you'll see miss nosy hopping on the table because she saw three Shi Tsus and then later, I saw a little Turtle in the water and the first few foggy pictures are from when I first got up this morning....gorgeous. I am so happy we found this campground.
April 27, 2013
OMG....can life get any better? Look at our campsite for the next two weeks!! We got here about 3pm today and even though I know that his campground is nice.....I didn't expect gorgeous! I hope the two weeks last a long time.....
April 26, 2013
Our last day in NC. Needless to say that we had another great day with Judy and Paul. Paul took us out on his jet boat and showed us one of three beautiful lakes. I wouldn't mind having a house there. Gorgeous!
Off to Bald Ridge Creek, GA tomorrow!
April 25, 2013
Greensboro NC is a very pretty city. Clean and alive! We went to visit "The Gardens of Greensboro". We saw only two, but they were both gorgeous. Bog Garden at Benjamin Park reminded me of Florida. It is very much like a natural preserve. The garden features elevated boardwalks leading through 7 acres of natural wetlands. It also has a pretty, very tranquil waterfall, as well as a large variety of plants, birds and other wildlife.
The other park we visited, is right across the street and is called "Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden". It is a very pretty garden with an abundance of gorgeous flowers, shrubs and bushes. Great place for a wedding, a picnic or just a relaxing stroll.
April 24, 2013
The morning started out somewhat cloudy and not so nice, but after lunch the weather turned around and the temps were in the 70ties. We took a ride to Thomasville, NC. You may know Thomasville Furniture, that is were they are made. It is kind of a sad town. You can tell at one time it was flourishing and pretty, but now 50% or more of the stores are closed. I do blame Wal-Mart for this, as they are on the out skirts of the town. It killed the small businesses and the town itself.
April 23, 2013
Right after lunch at the Hummels we took a ride to the outskirts of Charlotte not without stopping at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Of course there were no races, but is was pretty interesting to look at. We then went to Bass Pro Outdoor World and a stop at Sam's Club. On the way back to the house we stopped at Paul's buddy's house a Bud and then went back to the house for some R & R on the deck followed by a very delicious homemade prime rib dinner.
April 21, 2013
We now are in Troy, NC at a campground of a National Park called Uwharry Forrest. The campground's name is Arrowhead Campground. It is very nice. The only downfall is that we have no running water. We do have our water tanks in the RV filled up and it really doesn't bother us. We do have electricity and only pay $9 a night. Can't beat that. Look at the picture....there is a shoat living at the campground, that got away from it's owner. A shoat is a mixture of goat and lamb. It was almost tame, but I think it was a little scare of Kia. I am glad though that a got pictures of it, otherwise no-one would believe me.
We are visiting our good friends Judy and Paul and as always, are having a great time.
April 19, 2013
We just got to Fredericksburg, VA at the KOA campground. Just wanted everyone know we got here OK. The campground was not great for the $52 we paid for the one night we stayed.
April 17th, 2013
It is final! Today was a big day for us! We are so excited, because we became American Citizen. My biggest worry was not passing the test and wouldn't you know....it wasn't even that bad. I am so very proud and happy that we finally did it.
April 11, 2013
Once again, April 11th came around fast and 'Atlantic City' here we come. We first stopped for dinner in Carmine's at the Tropicana it was very good and plenty. After dinner we did a little window shopping and in the . I guess that was a good thing, because I was full from dinner and Chrissy found a gorgeous dress.
April 10, 2013
What a gorgeous Spring day! Ron and I went out on a fun photo shoot. First we went to Cattus Island and then to Island Beach State Park. It was great and I think I got a few good shots.
March 31, 2013
Easter was fun. We enjoyed having everyone over, the kids had fun and the food, especially Anna's cake was delicious. Look for yourself......
March 28, 2013
We had a great day today with Elisabeth and Luke. First lunch at Burger King. The kids enjoyed it and that is all that counts. We are not really Burger king or McDonald lovers. Off to the Popcorn Zoo Park after lunch. We always enjoy that place. It's not the greatest zoo, but it's close to home and just large enough for us. The kids got to feed the popcorn to the animals and had a great time. Zoo was done....now what? We still had some time and didn't want to return the little ones home yet, so off to Jakes Branch County Park . We first went up to the look-out tower and it was a great view. There was another family as well and we started talking about the hangar of the Hindenburg which you can see in the far distance. The man was wondering if the hangar was south or north of the look-out tower. Well.....our little Luke educated us and said: "it's North", looking at his small compass in his hands. You never leave the park without visiting the playground. It was great, Elisabeth and Luke had so much fun. We ended the day with a visit to YoFactor where you can create your own sunday. Cool concept and great flavor choices! This is a self-service frozen yogurt place where you can select, mix and match 12 flavors and 6 swirl combinations - not to mention the large array of toppings. We brought home two very tired kids.
March 20, 2013
An early Father's Day present for Peter. A while ago he renovated his room and the only thing that was missing, were a couple of pictures on the wall. That problem is solved. I took two of my shots and sent them to Costco to have these beautiful canvas pictures done.
March 17. 2013
St. Patrick's Day. I guess living here in the US states, you get used to being Irish on St. Patrick's Day whether you are or not. You wear the green and just celebrate. Heck, at this stage in my life I celebrate any minute!
We had a party weekend....yesterday over Danielle's, today over Pat and Ray's. It seems like a never ending celebration. I don't mind....loved every bit of it. Pat's corned beef and cabbage was real good. I have had other ones and to be honest, they made me dislike corned beef and cabbage......today at Pat and Ray's my faith in corned beef and cabbage was restored. It was excellent! It was good and plenty. So much that we even took home enough for tomorrow's dinner.
March 16, 2013
Today was pretty busy. We went to Luke's Pinewood Derby race. I enjoyed the first one better. The first one (Luke won a trophy there, was very well organized and fun to watch. The race today was not a good. First of all, they started two hours late and the whole even was no fun. The kids got restless from all the waiting and you can't even blame them.
Anyway, after the race we went home and let Kia out. Of to Danielle's house after that. She had about 100 people in the house. It was nice though and the food was so yummy. While there we notice this little puppy that looked like Tammy's new puppy. It was cute and Tammy rushed home to get her Zoey so that the two dogs could play. It was cute.
March 15, 2013
Bunco! I was asked again to fill in for one missing member of Tammy's Bunco group. I was one of the lucky winner and won a box full of cake mixes....(here goes the diet!) It was an evening full of fun over Tammy's friend Gigi's house. I picked up Tammy and while there, I was amazed how her little puppy grew. It's going to be one big dog!
March 8, 2013
We had a good time yesterday evening. Went to see our son and family. Took more pictures of the dogs than the kids, but they were so cute.
We enjoyed the visit very much and had a lot of laughs. Good pizza too. Luke and Elisabeth are getting so big and Luke even reads now (1st grade) and you got to be careful, because if you spell a word that you don't want him to understand.....well, he does understand. :-) Elisabeth loves her tap dancing and ballet and Luke will start kick boxing.
March 6, 2013
Haven't posted in a while. Nothing much going on. I shot a pretty sunset picture in our street the other night.
Since the photographer never get a picture of herself, we posed for the camera on a timer-shot.
Most of my friends know that we (finally) applied for our citizenship. We went for the first step: The finger printing in Elizabeth, NJ. On the way home we stopped at Dennis's office for a quick 'hello'. It was the first time we ever were in his area during his working hours.
There was so much unbelievable damage when the storm Sandy hit NJ. The way people pulled together to help was beyond anyone could ever imagine. Some people helped in the clean-up, some took in friends that lost their home in the storm, some donated money, or bought t-shirts from a company that donated a very generous amount of money from each and every sale of their "Restore the Shore" clothing. Tammy bought a few and so did we. One of Tammy's t-shirt made it all the way to Germany to my niece.

And so Ava's birthday celebration continues.....the highlight for Ava's roller skating party was her idol Johnny Ringo. You must know, Johnny Ringo is a wrestler and Ava is a huge fan of his. What a surprise when he actually showed up at her roller skating party.

Today out little Ava turned 8 years old. After we celebrated Dan's parents 50th Anniversary, we went home to take care of Kia and then we went to celebrate Ava's birthday at her house. Please come back tomorrow to look at pictures of her other party with her little friends at the roller skating rink.

Anna's birthday is February 13th and this year she turned 13 years old. We celebrated her birthday today and had a great time. Anna and Ava's Birthdays are very close and that is why this year they had to share their present. The best birthday present was the new puppy 'Zoey'.

Got up to some snow this morning. It was not as bad as predicted, but about 4-5 inches is nothing to sneeze at either.
Good News **** BIOPSY NEGATIVE****

Big day at the Lucianos today! Tammy and Dan decided to give the girls a new little puppy for their birthdays. They came by here first to borrow our dog pen and that is how we met Zoe. She is friggin' adorable! She is a Double Doodle and our Kia wasn't too sure what to think of her, but she didn't growl, so I guess that was good.

Not a good week. Aunt Chic, our son-in-law's aunt (60) passed away. She was cool and well liked. May she rest in peace. She will be missed.
Today was a candle party at Chrissy's house run by Eileen who is a Canyon Candle representative. Our Chrissy went above and beyond to make this party a success and it sure was. Drinks and food was served and we had a very nice time. I bought a couple of candles. Haven't bought candles in years, because we used to make our own and still had a nice little inventory from the leftovers.

We took down the darn vertical in the living room and replaced them with mini blinds and curtains. I am in love with my living room!

The Camera Club was asked to take pictures at the performance of the HCB Variety Club. It was enjoyable as far as the entertainment goes. Charlie Nelson made us laugh and the rest of the show was your typical, well....HCB show. Lots of errors and forgetfulness. However, their sense of humor made the show. It was hilarious and you could tell that the performers worked hard to entertain their audience.

The room is done! Well, except a few pictures but we got time for that. Take a look-see:

Here is a little update on Peter's health. We are not going to Geisinger's anymore. The Urologist that he liked left the Danville location to practice at a Geisinger's branch in State College, PA. The nurse went on to a better job in Wilkes Barre, PA. We decided that is was time to continue care at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. It is a little over an hour to get there, versus 4 hours. His new Dr. was recommended by his old Dr. and we feel very comfortable with him. His name is Dr. Robert E. Weiss.
Peter had a cystoscopy done January 4th and it showed a few irregularities. Dr. Weiss recommended that a biopsy should be scheduled and that is where we are at right now. We went to pre-OP testing today and the procedure will be done on the 29th.
On the way home we took a ride through South River, where we lived from 1972 to 1974. Our old apartment is still there, but it really is run down pretty bad. We drove through town and here are some of the pictures that I took:

It was a pretty exciting day today. First we went to see Luke's pinewood derby, sponsored by the boys scout (he is a Tiger Scout). Luke and Dennis built this little race car from scratch. Today at the race Luke's car won first place in his group. At the race of the champions he came in 5th out of 44 scouts. Pretty impressive for his first time.
We also went and bought new curtains for Peter's and the living room. I am so happy, because I really started to get sick and tired of the vertical blind. I'll post pictures as soon as they are up.
January 10 - 11, 2013
It's getting there....after filling a few holes and sanding Peter started painting and now it's all done! Furniture in and ahhhh.....
Now it needs some final touches, like curtains, lamp, pictures and an end table.

Peter started to renovate his 'man-cave' and I will post pictures soon. I am still fighting this darn cold and really am not up to do anything.
On January 4th Peter had another cystoscope done and the Dr. thinks that it is better to do a biopsy to make sure that the few irritations that he saw are benign. The biopsy is going to be performed on January 29th.
Please check back in soon for more updates.

Happy New Year everyone! Peter and I were lazy and didn't do a thing. We both are still worn out from the colds we had/have no energy at all. We bought two lobster tails the other day and I served them steamed for dinner today.
