We left as we do every year for the past 5 years or so on the 27th of December.  First stop was in Emporia VA.  We used to over night at the Wal-Mart there, but the last few years it just go too cold.  So we stayed at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Emporia.  We were already please last year and we decided to stay there again.  The campground is clean and the sites are spacious and even.  It was kind of weird that there was a little cemetery close to our campsite.  It fascinates me how here in this area as well as in SC and NC they have gravesites right on their own property.

We left this morning around 9 AM and got here to Darien GA at 6 PM.  It was a horrible ride.  Lot’s of stop'n go traffic jams.  We would have been here at least an r hour or so earlier.  We will be staying here in Georgia one more night so that Peter can take his time getting the camper ready for our stay at Collier Seminole S.P. in Naples Fl. on Friday.  I won’t have Internet there, so check in for another report in a couple of days.

Merry Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve over Tammy and Dan’s with the whole family.  That is what we usually do and Christmas day Peter and I are alone and usually end up eating Chinese food. (The Chinese places around here are  the only eateries that are open on Christmas Day)
We packed most of the stuff into the RV today and tomorrow is the rest going in.  We are leaving on Tuesday to take in the sun in Florida.  The last few years we were in Florida, we experienced some colder weather than usual.  I think that I plan on going away in May next time, if it is that cold again.  We were in Florida in May once and even though it was pretty hot, it was gorgeous.  The gulf was warm as a tub of water and flowers where blooming everywhere.
Here are some pictures from last night:Christmas Eve 007

Elisabeth’s 4th Birthday

We celebrated Elisabeth’s fourth birthday today.  We, especially the kids, had a lot of fun.  After the Bounce-U place the family went over to the house and continued celebrating Boo’s birthday.  Elisabeth's 4th Birthday 2011-12-18 002

Radio City Music Hall

Ever since we came to the US, my wish was to see the Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall.  Today I finally saw the show.  It was spectacular.  The colors, the scenery, and the Rockets…..awesome.
We went to SPQR on Mulberry Street to have lunch.  The lunch was very good and we all left full and satisfied.  All together a great day.

Campground owners are friendly after all…

If you remember what I wrote last August, you’ll remember that wonderful campground that we visited in Vermont.  It was by far the most well kept campground we ever visited, that’s for sure and I certainly would love to go back there one day.  To our surprise we received a Christmas card from them today.  Of course it was more and less for advertisement, but it sure made us very happy and brought back the memory of the good time that we had at their campground.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
