Got some real good news yesterday!  Peter's last cytology results were benign.  Now we have to come back in December and then three more rounds of treatments over the next 18 months.

Special visitors

We had two special visitors today.  Tammy came over with Luke and Elisabeth and we had lunch together.  Thanks for bringing them Tammmy.  They were so cute and we had a wonderful time.  Gotta love'm, they are adorable.
Our gorgeous Elisabeth
Isn't he so handsome?

Had some disturbing news ....found out that the dedication of the "Gazebo" at the Sunbury Social Club honoring Timmy Ritzman was on Sunday, September 19th.  I am sure that Timmy will forgive us for not attending.  We were still at the campground, but I guess no one found it important enough to tell us about the dedication.  Peter and I are very hurt about this.
Rest in peace Timmy.....nothing is the same anymore...
The above kind of topped it all and I am VERY happy that we decided not to come back as seasonal campers to Fantasy Island Campground.
We really loved it there and made wonderful lifetime friends.  Unfortunately, it turned out that some of our 'so called' friends are/were no friends at all.  I would go as far as saying that they were not even acquaintances.
An acquaintance doesn't ignore you; an acquaintance greets you and makes eye contact.
Real friends are not mad at you, when you have other friends, which they dislike.
Real friends listen when you are telling them something and they sure don't drive off abruptly in the middle of a story.
Real friends just take you as you are.
Real friends don’t listen to rumors.
Well, another life lesson learned……

Back home.....

We are back home!  The ride home was smooth and we were greeted by our neighbors.  It felt good.  Thanks guys for the welcome home!
Here are some pictures from our trip home.  First it shows how Peter connects the car to the RV, then some road pictures and the last one is of the Raritan Bridge:

Our last day....

Today was a wonderful day!  I did most of the cleaning and preparation for the trip home yesterday and today we spent our last day at the river relaxing.  We sat outside most of the time and enjoyed the breeze.  To end a gorgeous day, we went out to eat at BJ's Steak & Rib House.
Peter had the Chicago Steak (12 oz.)  BJ's famous Signature , French Fries and Salad.  I had the Petite Chicago Steak Combinations, a 6 oz. Petite Chicago Steak and BJ's Babyback Ribs with a baked potato and Salad.  Needless to say that I took home my ribs for tomorrow’s lunch.
The food was delicious and it was a great way to end our time in Pennsylvania this season.

Sitting here at the hospital, waiting for Peter.  This is his last treatment until February.  We have to come back for a check-up in December.  I guess we'll earn a few Choice Hotel Points....too cold to camp out.
I would like to pack up Geisinger's Hospital and take it home.  Why can't we have a hospital like it in New Jersey?
Back to the camper later, looking forward to watch the Big Bang and Grey's Anatomy tonight.

The day the docks go.....

Well, it seems like the summer in officially over.  Lots of campers took out their docks today.  It was a gorgeous day and it seemed like a real shame that instead of going out on the boat, the boat owners pulled in the docks.  Most people know that we are not coming back here to Fantasy Island.  Actually it wasn't planed this way when we first came this year.  I guess everything has a reason and some day I will explain ours.
In the meantime, we will have another couple of weeks here and we'll enjoy the spectacular sunsets as well as the gorgeous sunrise.

My Margaritas

Our good friends Charlene and Mike moved back to California, but not without leaving me their recipe for the perfect Margarita.

Lazy day

Today is a dreary day.  Perfect for staying inside, watching movies and sipping hot tea.  We even turned on the heat to get out the chill.
I will post my Olympus SLR on eBay today to sell it and then I'll research which is the best new SLR for my purpose.  I don't even know if I want to get a new Olympus or get another brand this time.  If anyone has any suggestions....please post them here.

Today is September 11, 2010.  It's been 9 years since the Twin Towers went down.  I am sitting here and am watching the ceremony on CNN with tears in my eyes.

Evenings at the river

We had a wonderful evening with Leslie and Henry. I miss these get-to-gethers with friends that we used to have here at the campground. It is a shame that things have changed, but I guess that is life and life goes on.
Judy and Paul drove off this morning and we were sad to see them go.  Kia looked over to the empty site with sad eyes.  She misses her brothers, that's for sure.  She pulled me over to go there and once we got there, she looked around with her sad big round eyes as she would say.....where are they?
This evening the view from our RV was spectacular!  The colors were amazing and darned, I will miss this place.  Just look at the pictures and you'll know what I mean.

Peter's treatment was a tough one yesterday, but he is much better today.  Two more times in this round.

Dinner and a boat ride

We had a wonderful day.  First a dinner at Tiffany's.  Actually it's called Jay's Tiffany.  It's the best kept secret in town.  The food is great and the price is right.  Well, especially today....'cuz Paul fed us once again.  Nope, it is not a rumor....Paul feeds us.  Hahahaha!
Anyway....all jokes aside, we had a good dinner and it was topped off with an invitation from Henry and Leslie to join them, on their pontoon boat with Linda, Bob, Brenda, Thelma, Jim, Paul and Judy.  It was wonderful.  Thanks, Leslie and Henry!

Luke and Elisabeth's first day of school

For Luke it is not the first year of nursery school, but for Elisabeth it was the very first day today and I was told by Chrissy that she did great.

Ava and Anna's first day of school.

Today is the first day of 5th grade for Anna and the first day of Kindergarten for Ava.  Both girls are excited and are looking forward to meet their new teacher.
Nothing much else to report.  We had a nice weekend at the campground with good friends and great food.
3 more treatments for Peter and then camping is over until we leave for Florida in December.  Looking forward to spend time at home with family and friends.

Another great day in Pennsylvania

We had a grat day today over Deb and Pud's house.  Poor Leslie, she wanted to come, but she wasn't in good shape, because of her surgery.  Hurry up and feel better soon!
Anyhow, I somehow felt that she should have been there, so I kind of included her in the picture.  I didn't do a great job, didn't have my Photoshop installed.

For dinner we went to RicMar (not that good) and back at the campground we 'admired' Mary Ann's hole in here window.   It looks like someone cut a perfectly round hole and it sure didn't look like it was done by accident.  Now who would do such a thing?  Here is a picture of Mary Ann's and Marc's broken window:
All in looks like it's going to be a good weekend.  Let's just hope that this incident doesn't happen again.  Kind of weird and scary.
