Leslie and Henry's house

Today we took a ride to Lebanon, PA where Leslie and Henry live.  We left Kia and the boys home and they did fine.  I was a little worried, because we never left Kia this long by herself.

Leslie and Henry were wonderful hosts and their house is very nice.  Their backyard, as well as the front yard are beautifully designed.....hats off to Henry!

Nice evening

Yesterday was Saturday and the weather was as perfect as it was today.  Actually, besides the weather, the whole day was perfect and at night, after a wonderful steak dinner, we saw the best firework EVER!  It lasted 45 minutes and it was really very nice.  The sunset, as always was spectacular.  BTW, the two on the jetski are Paul and Marc.

Celotex chimneys

History was made today.  Dozens of former workers turned out to see the demolition of two smokestacks and a boiler building at the Knight-Celotex Plant in Sunbury.  Judy and I went to see the stacks come down, thanks to Mary Ann and Marc.  It was truly an adventure and I was happy that I got a few good pictures.  Click on the name below the picture to see them all.

Knoebels with Tammy and the girls

We had another great day at Knoebels yesterday.  The girls had fun and once again, I can't get over it how cheap and wonderful Knoebels is.

For all the pictures, click here.
When we got home, we had chicken-kebabs for dinner.  It was so good and I planed on making them again soon.

It was raining the whole night into the morning and we had breakfast around 11 AM. After breakfast we decided to drive to this inside playground, called "Bounce Funplex" in Selingsgrove. Too bad that they were closed. The kids would have had a real good time. Instead, we now went to the mall and walked around a little, measured the girl's height, picked up a few items and afterwards we went to the grocery store and picked up dinner. Marinated pork loin, fresh string beans and mac & cheese.  At night Mary Ann and Mark took us out on their boat. Our two captains did a great job driving the vessel....LOL

The weekend was great. Saturday Anna and Ava participated in 'crafts' from the campground, then pool and at night we all were just relaxing and the girls were 'hanging' with Kaylin.

We had another fun-filled day. The girls woke up around 9:15am - not by their choice though, because Kia decided it is time and jumped all over them. After lunch we went to the movies to see Cats and Dogs. Pool in the afternoon and wings at the Social Club at night.
The sunset was pretty, as always and it was a good time to relax on the patio while Anna was riding her bike and Ava her scooter.

Peter

As most of our family and friends know, Peter was diagnosed with bladder cancer.  We are very fortunate, that is is a low stage of the disease.  Most of you asked me what the treatment will be and to explain it better, I have found this article:
Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) (BCG) is considered the most effective intravesical immunotherapy for treating low-stage bladder cancer. BCG, a bacterium that is sometimes used to vaccinate people against tuberculosis, is given directly into the bladder through a catheter. The body’s immune system responds to BCG. Immune system cells are attracted to the bladder and activated by BCG, which in turn affects the bladder cancer cells. It is usually given once a week for 6 weeks. Sometimes long-term“maintenance” BCG therapy is given.
Peter was given the long-term maintenance plan, which means that for the next year and a halt, he will have to undergo this treatment every 6 months.

Lunch at Geisingers wasn't bad and we had sandwiches.

A day at Knoebels with Anna and Ava

We had a great day with Anna and Ava at Knoebels.  We stopped at Masser's on the way home and picked up a few rib-eye steaks and a few salads.  We were totally exhausted and after dinner we showered  put on the PJs and watched 'Marley and me'.

Debby's Birthday

We had a little informal get-to-gether for Debby's birthday.  It was a great evening and Pat went out of her way and served mussels and other goodies.  For dessert she had water melon and a small birthday cake for Debby.  I love my neighbors.  We always have good times together and I am going to miss them when we are back at the camper.
